Additional Requirements and Information:

1)   Min. 3.0/4.0 GPA;  2) Must be of African descent (for example, African American, African, Ethiopian, etc.); 3) Must plan to attend an accredited U.S. four (4) year college or university upon graduation; 4) Must plan to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or select Business programs (such as Finance, Business Administration, or Marketing);  5) Financial need required; 6) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 7) Letter of recommendation must be from a faculty or staff member  at applicant’s school; 8) Resume required; 9) Photograph (color) required; 10) Transcript(s) required; 11) Unofficial transcript(s) accepted; 12) Scholarships payable as follows:  Five (5) scholars will receive  $5,000.00 per academic year scholarships (up to $20,000.00).  Forty-five (45) scholars will receive $2,500.00 nonrenewable scholarships.

NOTE:

• For applicants providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on their high school transcript, those applicants will need to upload a copy of their test score report(s) separately.

• Recipients notified NLT late-May (annually).
