Additional Requirements and Information: |
1) Must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university; 2) Demonstrated financial need; 3) FAFSA required; 4) Must be Pell Grant eligible; 5) Must be in the process of applying to, or accepted for, a study abroad or internship program of at least two (2) weeks for community college students and four (4) weeks for students from four (4) year institutions, in a single country and eligible for credit from the student’s home institution; 6) Proof of program acceptance required; 7) Study Abroad Advisor certification required; 8) Financial Aid Advisor certification required; 9) Transcript(s) required; 10) Unofficial transcript(s) accepted; 11) Scholarship award payable as follows: Up to $5,000.00 (depending on the length of study and student need); applicants who are studying a “critical need” language while abroad in a country in which the language is predominantly spoken will automatically be considered for the “Critical Need Language Award” for a total award of $8,000.00.NOTE:
