1) Must be a member of an “underrepresented community of color;” 2) Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university; 3) Demonstrated interest or experience in nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, and the social sector; 4) Demonstrated financial need; 5) Fellows are compensated on an hourly basis; 6) Writing sample required; 7) Resume required; 8) Transcript(s) required; 9) Unofficial transcript(s) accepted.
NOTE:
• Must be able to work as an intern for 12-15 weeks in the Washington, D.C. office of the Aspen Institute during the academic semester in which the fellowship is awarded. Fall and Spring fellows will work part-time (15-20 hours per week) and Summer fellows will be full-time.
• Students approved for participation in the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) program are eligible to apply for this fellowship.
