Baltimore City Teams Up With Baltimore City Community College and Coppin State University For New Tuition-Free Scholarship Program
Baltimore City Mayor, Catherine Pugh, recently announced a new scholarship program to be offered to Baltimore City Public School students. The City of Baltimore, through the new scholarship, the Mayor Scholars Program, is partnering with Baltimore City Community College (“BCCC”) and Coppin State University, a Historically Black College and University (“HBCU”), to give graduating Baltimore City Public School students a chance at a tuition-free college education! This coming year, 2018, will be the inaugural year for this scholarship award. Students will attend BCCC for two (2) years and then have the option to transfer to Coppin State University upon completion of the two (2) year program.
