Additional Requirements and Information:
1)  Must be nominated; 2) Must be an incoming Boston University graduate student; 3) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 4) Fellowship awarded as follows:  Full-time tuition waiver at the GRS rate, plus the Student Services and Health & Wellness fees, a $25,134.00 annual stipend for living expenses and Boston University basic health insurance. Some schools or programs supplement the stipend with additional funding; 5) Renewable for up to two (2) additional academic years (3 total).
NOTE: 
  • Students may not apply directly for this scholarship award.  Candidates are nominated by the admissions office.  To be considered, interested students should contact their respective admissions office to request a nomination and provide a statement describing his or her accomplishments in, and commitment to social justice and community involvement.
  • The nominating department should provide a cover memo describing the qualifications of the nominee and a PDF of the nominee’s complete graduate application and send the document to the Associate Provost for Graduate Affairs at apgrad@bu.edu.
  • The fellowship is available to U.S. citizens who are incoming students at Boston University beginning master’s, doctoral, or professional degrees in any department or school.
