Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Must be an Education Journalist; 2) Must be an Education Writers Association member; 3) Project proposal required; 4) Letter from applicant’s editor or newsroom supervisor supporting applicant’s participation in the program and providing a commitment to publish applicant’s work upon completion required; 5) Fellowship awarded as follows: Each fellow will receive up to $8,000.00 to use toward a reporting project, as well as other assistance. Recipients will have significant flexibility in how to use the funds, including travel for reporting, relief from regular newsroom duties, and attending workshops.

NOTE:

o Fellowship recipients will be notified of their status in January 2018.

o Recipients will have approximately eight (8) months to complete their projects.
