Additional Requirements and Information: | 1) Must be enrolled at a U.S. college or university in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, or suburban Maryland); 2) Must plan to enroll in a study-abroad program for at least four (4) weeks (28 days min.); 3) Study abroad program must be eligible for credit at the applicant’s home institution; 4) Financial Aid Form required; 5) Letter of recommendation should be from a professor or advisor; 6) Priority consideration given to applicant’s with financial need, minority students, community college students and first-generation college students; 7) Transcript(s) required; 8) Unofficial transcript(s) accepted; 9) Scholarship award payable as follows: FEA awards scholarships of up to $10,000.00 for students who plan to study abroad for a full academic year; up to $5,000.00 for students who plan to study abroad during the Fall or Spring semester; and awards that are prorated by number of weeks in-country (with a min. of $1,250.00) for students studying abroad during Summer. |
