1) Must apply for admission NLT February 1 (annually); 2) Must identify as a first-generation college student, i.e., first in applicant’s family to attend college and earn a Bachelor’s degree; 3) FAFSA required; 4) Writing sample (academic paper) required; 5) Personal statement required; 6) Transcript(s) required.

NOTE:

• Applicants should contact the admissions office at least two (2) weeks in advance to schedule an interview.

• Some optional application materials can be submitted through the Common Application. Applicants will also have the opportunity, after applying, to submit additional optional materials such as photos, videos, PDFs, Word documents, and music files through their online application portal with Hampshire College.

• Upon completion of the initial Baldwin year, Baldwin Scholars continue to receive generous financial support.
