Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Must be a Massachusetts resident; 2) Must plan to enroll at an accredited college or university upon graduation; 3) Must intend to pursue interdisciplinary Environmental Studies; 4) At least 25% of undergraduate coursework must be in subjects related to the Environment (applicant may choose any major/minor); 5) Scholarship award payable in the following installments: Up to $25,000.00 over four (4) years, plus internship stipend; 6) Renewable for up to three (3) additional academic years (4 total) (provided recipient maintains a min. 2.5/4.0 GPA, provides an official transcript(s) after each academic semester and remains otherwise qualified).

NOTE:

• Thoreau Scholars are eligible for an environmental internship stipend, which usually takes place between junior and senior year.

• Recipients notified NLT April 30 (annually).
