1) Min. 3.0 GPA; 2) Must be a graduate of a high school in the following Northern California counties: Alameda County, Contra Costa County, Marin County, Napa County, San Francisco County, San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County, Solano County, Sonoma County and Yolo County, OR be a graduate of a high school not in the above counties, but enrolled at a college/university within the eleven (11) listed counties; 3) Must have a declared major in and been accepted into a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) program; 4) Priority consideration given to San Mateo and Santa Clara County high school graduates; 5) Priority consideration given to undergraduate juniors; 6) Demonstrated financial need; 7) FAFSA required; 8) California Dream Act Application required (DACA students); 9) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 10) Letter of recommendation must be from a college professor of a STEM related class and on official letterhead; 11) Personal statement required; 12) Transcript(s) required; 13) Unofficial high school transcript(s) accepted; 14) Official college transcript(s) required.
NOTE:
• A.B. 540 students who are also DACA recipients are eligible to apply for this scholarship award.
