Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Min. 2.5 GPA (high school senior); 2) Min. 3.0 GPA (college/vocational student);  3) Must be either accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school within the U.S. or Puerto Rico;  4) Must be pursuing an Automotive Technician degree or certification; 5) Written or video essay required;  6) Scholarship awarded as follows:  Five (5) $10,000.00 scholarships to be awarded to qualified students studying to become professional Automotive Technicians in the following major metro areas:  Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, California, Orlando, Florida, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and/or Puerto Rico. An additional ten (10) $5,000.00 scholarships will be awarded to qualified students studying to become professional automotive technicians in other areas in the U.S.; 7) Previous recipients are eligible to reapply.

NOTE:

• All scholarship recipients will be eligible for preferred placement in a Pep Boys internship, apprenticeship program and/or a full-time automotive tech position upon graduation.
