| Additional Requirements and Information: | 1) Film project required; 2) At least one (1) member of the creative team must be Muslim; 3) Project may be a narrative feature length, short film, animation or documentary. Web-series are not accepted; 4) Film project content must have Muslim characters or themes; 5) At least 50% of the project must be filmed in the U.S; 6) Filmmaker must have U.S. citizenship; 7) Grantees receive the following:
o Cash grant up to $20,000.00 to be awarded for each category; NOTE: o There will be three (3) rounds for the selection process: (i) Submission of Letter of Interest o Each applicant will be asked to submit a one-two page letter of interest. The judges will review these letters and choose the strongest stories to advance to the next round: application. o During the application stage the applicant will be required to submit a written proposal, a 3-4 minute pitch video, work sample, script or outline. o The judges will review these applications and will choose three (3) applicants to advance to the interview stage. o *Interested persons who are not students may also apply for these film grants. |
