1) Min. 3.5/4.0 GPA; 2) Must plan to attend a U.S. college or university upon graduation; 3) FAFSA SAR and/or parent(s)/guardian(s) most recent income tax return(s) preferred (Applicant who would like the scholarship committee to consider their application without regard to financial need may exclude these documents. Please note that preference is given to applicants with demonstrated financial need.); 4) Min. SAT combined score of 1800 or min. ACT composite score of 26; 5) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 6) Priority consideration given to the following applicants:
• Applicants who have parents that are U.S. veterans or are currently in the U.S. military;
• Applicants with demonstrated financial need;
• Applicants with parents who did not attend college (First-generation college students); or
• Applicants with a documented significant disability.
7) Letters of recommendation must be sealed; 8) Personal statement required; 9) Photograph required; 10) Transcript(s) required.
NOTE:
o Paper application must be submitted as an attachment to online application).
o Applicants who are currently not seniors in high school (e.g., students who are taking a gap year or adults returning to school), but applicants who will be considered incoming freshmen are eligible to apply for this scholarship award.
o The Kim and Harold Louie Family Foundation awarding approximately $100,000 in scholarships in 2017.
