1) Must be a graduating New York public high school senior; 2) Must be enrolled in a New York State public high school with a PTA/PTSA in good standing; 3) Must plan to attend a college of the State University of New York (“SUNY”) for Baccalaureate degree in Education OR plan to attend a two (2) year community college before transferring to a Baccalaureate degree program in Education at SUNY; 4) Must plan to pursue a career as a Teacher; 5) Must not have accepted scholarships in excess of $16,000.00.
NOTE:

• Each qualifying high school may submit two (2) candidates.
• Recipients notified NLT May 1 (annually).
