1) Must be a Music student; 2) Applicant’s birthdate must fall between November 20, 2005 and May 29, 1995; 3) Video up to one (1) minute long stating reasons for applying to the New York Youth Symphony and why applicant is studying music required; 4) Video submission must be uploaded to YouTube (if you wish to keep the video private, please select “Unlisted” as the upload option; 5) Digital copy of Passport, State ID or Birth Certificate (JPEG or PDF files smaller than 1mb preferred); 6) Audition required; 7) $95.00 registration fee required (fee waivers available); 8) Audition fees required (fee waivers available).
NOTE:
O The New York Youth Symphony’s core values state that no one is to be excluded by their ability to pay. Therefore, application waivers, financial aid and work-study opportunities are available for students to recoup the registration and audition fees.
O The cost of each New York Youth Symphony program is $5,000.00/per student, however ALL students’ participation is generously underwritten by scholarships.
