Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Min. 3.0 GPA; 2) Must meet one (1) of the following two (2) criteria:

o The applicant’s permanent residence must be on Long Island (Nassau or Suffolk County)

OR

o The applicant must attend college on Long Island (regardless of permanent residence)

3) Must have had an internship in a Public Relations/Communications capacity at a business, not-for-profit organization or government agency during the Spring 2016, Summer 2016, Fall 2016 or Spring 2017 semester; 4) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 5) Resume required; 6) Letters of recommendation must be from an internship supervisor and a professor with whom applicant has studied; 7) Transcript(s) required; 8) Scholarship award payable as follows: Winner(s) will receive a check for $1,000.00 (made payable to recipient) and a one (1) year PRPLI membership.

NOTE: As a special thank you, all qualified entrants of this year’s scholarship award will receive a free student membership to PRPLI for the 2017-2018 program year.
