Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Must reside or attend a school in the 4th Congressional District, specifically parts of DeKalb, Gwinnett and Newton Counties and all of Rockdale County, Georgia; 2) Original artwork, up to 28 inches by 28 inches, up to four (4) inches in depth, and not more than fifteen (15) pounds, required; 3) The following art forms are accepted:

Paintings – including oil, acrylics, and watercolor;

Drawings – including pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, and markers (It is recommended that charcoal and pastel drawings be fixed.);

Collages – must be two dimensional;

Prints – including lithographs, silkscreen, and block prints;

Mixed Media – use of more than two mediums such as pencil, ink, watercolor, etc.;

Computer-generated art;

Photography;

NOTE:

Winning artwork is displayed in the U.S. Capital and also featured on the House.gov’s website.

In 2017, four (4) winners received scholarships totaling $47,000.00.
