Additional Requirements and Information:
1)  Must enroll at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College for Fall 2021; 2) Must enroll in the Powerline Mechanic Certificate Program; 3) Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; 4)  Priority consideration given to applicants who are  U.S. military veterans; 5) Must possess a valid driver’s license and must be eligible to obtain a Class A license; 6) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 7) Transcript(s) required; 8) Unofficial transcript(s) accepted.
NOTE:
  • Application available March 2023.
  • Financial need is NOT considered.
  • Graduates will be offered an entry-level groundman position at SCE upon completion of the Powerline Mechanic Certificate program,
  • Scholarship winners will attend Los Angeles Trade-Technical College six (6) month program to receive a Powerline Mechanic Certificate (additional classes may be needed for required prerequisites).
  • Military veterans are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Recipients may also receive additional support and mentorship from Edison International during and after completing the program at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College.
  • Tuition and needed tools will be covered by the scholarship.
  • Recipients notified NLT early July (annually).
  • Scholarship payments made NLT late July (annually).
