Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Must be a Florida resident; 2) Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older; 3) Must be a student (and not a varsity basketball player) currently enrolled in one of the following colleges: Miami Dade College, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, University of Miami, Barry University, Broward College, Indian River State College, Johnson and Wales University, Palm Beach Atlantic University, Palm Beach State College, Nova Southeastern University, McFatter Technical College, or St. Thomas University; 4) Must download the RideFlag Mobile App; 5) Must log in a commute to or from applicant’s college campus using an Alternative Mode of transportation; 6) Entrants will receive one (1) entry in a random drawing for each commute successfully completed during the Entry Period; 7) The Grand Prize Winner will be awarded the following prizes:

o $2,500.00 Scholarship grant;
o Two (2) tickets to a Miami HEAT home game to be played in the month of December 2017;
o One (1) P2 American Airlines Arena parking pass for the game;
o The opportunity to watch the Miami HEAT’s pre-game shoot around on the playing court before the game;
o. Recognition on the center-hung scoreboard during the game; and
o A gift bag with Miami HEAT merchandise, including a personalized Miami HEAT jersey.

A second place winner will be awarded a Miami HEAT autographed basketball valued at $250.00.


o To participate, simply download the free RideFlag mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and log your alternative mode trips from November 6, 2017 -November 17, 2017.

o Note that to successfully log a carpool at least one (1) additional individual in your carpool must simultaneously track his or her commute using the App. Once you use the App to successfully log your Alternative Mode commute to or from your college’s campus, one entry will be automatically entered on your behalf. You may submit multiple eligible entries in accordance herewith during the Entry Period with no limit.
