Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Min. 3.0 GPA; 2) Must be a Virginia resident OR eligible for a military-related exception for in-state tuition; 2) Must be enrolled/enrolling in a Virginia public or private regionally accredited nonprofit college or university; 3) Must be enrolled/enrolling in a qualifying Virginia CyberSecurity program; 4) Must be within two (2) academic years of graduation; 5) Promissory Note required; 6) Scholarship award payable as follows: Up to $20,000 ($10,000.00 for academic semester) for up to two (2) academic years; 7) Renewable for up to one (1) additional academic year.

NOTE:

o Recipients must commit to work in Virginia in the Cybersecurity field with a Virginia government agency for one (1) year for each year a scholarship is received. If a recipient fails to fulfill the work agreement, the obligation will be converted to a loan.

o The application opens April 1 (annually).  If funds are available, a second application period will open from July 1, 2018 – July 31, 2018.
