Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Min. 2.5 GPA; 2) Must be a Wake County, North Carolina resident; 3) Must have completed at least one academic year at a high school in Wake County, North Carolina; 4) Must plan to attend an accredited North Carolina college, university or technical school; 5) Demonstrated financial need; 6) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 7) Transcript(s) required; 8) Scholarship award payable in the following installments: $1,000.00 – $4,000.00 per academic year for up to four (4) academic years; 9) Renewable for up to three (3) academic years (provided recipient maintains a min. 2.5 GPA, submits a report, and remains otherwise qualified).

NOTE:

o The Achievement Scholarship Fund for Refugees and Immigrants in Wake County will provide financial awards for refugee and immigrant high school graduates (legal documentation not required) who reside in Wake County to continue their education in a post-secondary setting. The goal is to support these students on a pathway to finding meaningful employment and becoming contributory members of their communities and adopted country.
