Additional Requirements and Information:
1)  Must be enrolled in a state or federally recognized tribe or band, or one (1) or more of your parents or grandparents was an enrolled member of a state or federally recognized tribe or band, or you are a permanent U.S. resident or U.S. citizen who is a member of the First Nations of Canada2) Demonstrated commitment to issues related to Native American nations; 3)  Must be pursuing a Health-related career (Native Healthcare); 4) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 5) Transcript(s) required; 6) Unofficial transcript(s) accepted; 7) Scholarship awarded as follows:  Recipients are awarded up to $7,000.00 scholarships.  Additionally, recipients are required to attend the Scholar Orientation which is a five (5) day conference held each August in Tucson, Arizona.  A travel stipend will be provided.
NOTE:
  • Interested students should contact their respective faculty representative as soon as possible.  Many schools have internal deadlines up to six (6) months earlier than the Udall Foundation’s submission deadline of March 1, 2023.
  • Two (2) year college students may apply as sophomores in the semester before receiving their Associate’s degree. Interested students must have applied and/or been accepted to a four (4) year university as a full-time student for the following year in order to receive the award.
