1) Min. 3.0 GPA (undergraduate student); 2) Min. 3.2 GPA (graduate student); 3) Must be enrolled/enrolling in one (1) of the qualifying majors:

o BS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematical Sciences

o BS Business Administration – Information Systems Cyber Security and Information Assurance Concentration

o MS in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering with Cybersecurity Concentration

o Ph.D in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering

4) Applicant Information Sheet required; 5) Cover letter with applicant’s full name, school address, home address, cell phone number, home phone number, student email address, and a statement that the applicant is a citizen or lawful permanent U.S. resident, required (Cover letter should describe the applicant’s current academic progress (BS, MS, or Ph.D student) and date of anticipated graduation); 6) ACT and/or SAT scores required (undergraduate student); 7) Resume required; 8) Transcript(s) required; 9) Scholarship awarded as follows: Recipients receive full tuition, are reimbursed health insurance up to a max. of $3,000.00 a year, reimbursed for books up to $2,000.00 a year, and pay for professional development travel up to $4,000.00 a year. In addition, a stipend is paid each academic year in the amount of $22,500.00 for undergraduates or $34,000.00 for graduate students; 10) Scholarships are awarded for two (2) academic years (four semesters) for undergraduates and Master’s degree students and for three (3) academic years (six semesters) for Doctoral students.

NOTE: Students that are awarded a scholarship under this program incur a service obligation to the government upon graduation from UAH and are required to participate in a paid internship during the summer semester.
