Additional Requirements and Information:

1) Must have studied abroad during the 2016-2017 academic year (including calendar year 2016, Fall 2016, Year 2016-2017, Spring 2017 & Summer 2017) on the following programs:

• UC Education Abroad Program (“UCEAP”)
• Berkeley Summer Abroad
• Berkeley Global Internships
• IARU Global Summer Program
• Other (independent programs, etc.)

2) Entry form required; 3) Up to three (3) amateur photographs taken by entrant while abroad required; 4) Photographs should be high-resolution, colored, and unedited digital pictures (min. size: 2560 pixels x 1920 pixels; JPEG, TIFF or PNG formats); 5) No black and white photos, watermarked photos, or “filtered” photos (i.e. Instagram); 6) Photographs will be accepted in the following categories:

1. Places: Show us the diverse wonders of your travel destinations.
2. People and Culture: Share photos that capture the spirit of the people and culture of your host country as well as the places you visited.
3. Bears Abroad: Show us photos of Golden Bears (UC Berkeley students and/or faculty) abroad.
4. Wildcard: A photo of your choice that does not fall into any of the other categories. Have fun and be creative!

7) First place winners in each category will receive a $50.00 Amazon gift card.  8) Second place winners will receive a $20.00 Amazon gift card and third place winners will receive a $10.00 Amazon gift card.

NOTE:  Photographs MUST be submitted to photocontest@berkeley.edu.
