Additional Requirements and Information:
1) Min. 3.0/4.0 GPA; 2) Must be African American, Hispanic and/or Native American; 3) Must plan to attend an accredited college or university upon graduation; 4) Must be majoring in Business, one of the Physical Sciences, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics fields in preparation for a career in the Energy sector; 5) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 6) Scholarships awarded as follows:  In addition to the scholarships awarded by the local chapter ($20,000.00 in scholarships will be awarded by the local chapter), the following scholarships will be awarded at the national level:  Six (6) $3,000.00 one (1) year scholarships will be awarded and one (1) $5,000.00 four (4) year renewable scholarship ($20,000.00) will be awarded.
NOTE:
  • In 2023, the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter of AABE will award up to $20,000.00 in scholarship funds to winning students.
  • Applicant’s local chapter must be AABE Chicago Metropolitan Chapter.
