Additional Requirements and Information:

1)  Min. 2.0 GPA; 2) Must live in one (1) of the following jurisdictions in the metropolitan District of Columbia area:

o District of Columbia

o Maryland: Prince George’s County or Montgomery County

o Virginia: Alexandria County, Arlington County, Fairfax County or the City of Falls Church

3) Must be personally affected by having an incarcerated parent(s) or an immediate family member(s) in prison who has served as applicant’s caregiver; 4) Must plan to attend an accredited college, university or vocational/technical school upon graduation; 5) Demonstrated financial need; 6) Proof of income required (FAFSA/SAR report, tax returns, W-2); 7) Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and community service activities; 8) Resume required; 9) Copy of birth certificate required; 10) College, university or vocational/technical school acceptance letters required; 11) ScholarCHIPS Consent Form required; 12) Scholarship award payable in the following installments:  Up to $2,500.00 per academic year for up to four (4) academic years; 13) Renewable for up to three (3) additional academic years (provided recipient maintains a min. 2.5 GPA and remains otherwise qualified).
